went swimming in the quarry behind our house today. it's calm and clear and a lovely little place to frolic about for a while. i want to take everyone i love here. there was even a little secret lagoon quarry behind this quarry which would be a great place to skinny dip imo. i'm glad there's something to swim in since the beach is out of commission.
i feel very comfortable wearing tinier pieces of clothing here, less worried about my body and what i look like, i barely look in the mirror throughout the day. i mostly just want to run around in sand grass water and stone unbothered, unobstructed.
i love finding a reason to zoom somewhere on my scooter, a chore, errand, get water, just stop by the beach and watch it from your bike for a bit along with others taking a bit of a break. see the distant grey looming clouds portending a bout of rain, you can almost calculate when you should drive back to avoid the downpour. not always though.
it's been two relatively dry days - which means that a few days of non-stop rain should be in the works. time to stock up on water and the little local cream cheese tarts and chips and fruit.
Things that I want to fix/edit/figure on this website:
The media I've connected doesn't open up as a link to the are.na block, instead it's just a static image that doesn't include the source. Need to change that.
Lot of empty space on right. Would like to figure out a 2 column/center grid alignment.
Remove 'connected by Zuri Kefi' in the guestbook since I've added a feature for people to leave comments without having to do it via are.na.
Design: would like the header to have a bit more space, change the type. Moving pixel snake moss like design around it.
Could the subscribe be an RSS feed?
Videos I upload don't play... there's no template for video in the project so I'll have to make one.
trying to make a little month log using this... are.na blog maker thing. https://github.com/Fergarram/fergarram.online
it basically feels like a tumblr feed, but with are.na as the platform. i'm trying to figure out what other ways i can use are.na in so this feels like a good place to start.
i like collecting images, texts, things in parallel while 'blogging' or writing as they inform the way i'm seeing things around me currently. i can also add to this from mobile which will probably allow me to collect, document, faster. i don't have to really make any complicated new system for this.
